Recorders
Devices that capture video to local media and report transport state.
Overview
A recorder is a device that captures video to local media. Pixelrush reads a recorder's transport state — whether it's currently recording or not — and can send commands to start or stop it.
Commands
Pixelrush can send two commands to a connected recorder:
- Start recording — begins a new clip on the device.
- Stop recording — ends the current clip.
Related features
- Monitored recorders — connected recorders surface on the live session view by default.
- Automatic sessions — recorder transport state can create sessions.
- Recording sessions — armed recorders can be started or stopped when a session begins or ends.
Supported hardware
- Blackmagic HyperDeck — controlled over Ethernet by IP address.
