Recorders

Overview

A recorder is a device that captures video to local media. Pixelrush reads a recorder's transport state — whether it's currently recording or not — and can send commands to start or stop it.

Commands

Pixelrush can send two commands to a connected recorder:

• Start recording — begins a new clip on the device.
• Stop recording — ends the current clip.

• Recording sessions — armed recorders can be started or stopped when a session begins or ends.

• Blackmagic HyperDeck — controlled over Ethernet by IP address.
