Blackmagic HyperDeck
Connect a HyperDeck as a recorder in Pixelrush.
Capabilities
A HyperDeck provides one capability to Pixelrush:
- Recorders — the deck exposes its transport state (recording or stopped) and accepts record and stop commands.
Add the HyperDeck
- Open Settings → Connections.
- Select Add Connection.
- From Connection Type, choose HyperDeck Recorder.
- Fill in the form:
- Connection Name — a short label you will recognize later, for example
A-Roll Deck. - IP Address — the HyperDeck's IP address on your local network. Configure this in the deck's network settings; see the HyperDeck manual for the steps that match your model.
- Connection Name — a short label you will recognize later, for example
- Select Add Connection to save.
Verify the connection
The status indicator next to the connection name changes to Connected once the link is established. The deck also appears in Settings → Recorders, where you can choose which recorders to monitor on live sessions and which to arm for automatic sessions.
If the status stays on Connecting, see the Troubleshooting guide.
